PERRY, GA.— Hot Chelle Rae and Allstar Weekend are set to perform at the Georgia National Fair, a Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter news release says.

That's on October 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

The news release also says, "the Fair staff is finalizing one additional concert."

Tickets go on sale August 25 online. They're $25.

 
Mrs. Grace Leverett Davis, age 88, of 7475 Highway 15 North in Warthen died Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Washington County Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 17 in the Warthen United Methodist Church in Warthen, with burial in the Warthen...more United Methodist Church Cemetery. Her grandchildren and Rev. Don Black will conduct the service.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Terrell County, Georgia, the daughter of the late John Henry Leverett and the late Lottie Lou Smith Leverett. She was the wife of the late Gordon Lamar Davis and was preceded in death by a brother Earl Leverett. Mrs. Davis attended Georgia Southwestern College and the Georgia State College for Women. She was a school teacher in Tennille and Warthen and a homemaker. Mrs. Davis also served as a substitute teacher for Brentwood School. She was an active member of the Warthen United Methodist Church and was a Sunday school teacher for over twenty years.

Mr. Johnny Edward Swindell III, age 62, of 1030 Glover Road in Riddleville died Saturday May 12 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Swindell was the son of the late Johnny Edward Swindell, Jr. He was a mechanic, carpenter and jack of all trades. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Swindell and a sister, Carolyn Swindell.

DUBLIN, GA.--With 103 race cars present, and the largest crowd of participants and fans of the season, Keith Brooks of Dublin, Ga. won the “Arlene Pittman Memorial / Southern Outlaws Super Street Series” stock car race at Dublin-441 Speedway Sat. night May 12th.
